The First Visit
We explain everything we do very carefully to avoid developing in your child the same fears of dentistry some parents have. If your child asks, you can explain that the doctor will look at their teeth to make sure they are healthy.
At the first visit we will evaluate home care and fluoride needs, take necessary x-rays, examine the teeth, the bite, and the tissues of the mouth. We will discuss your child’s dental needs with you at the end of this appointment. You will be provided with an estimate of any treatment needed and the cost of our services.
We will file insurance claims for you, but remind our parents that the responsibility for your payment of dental services remains between you and this office. Please contact your insurance company if needed.
Most treatment will be scheduled for a later visit unless there is an emergency need. Please tell us of any emergency need as soon as possible.
