Braces
Invisible Braces
Braces do not have to be rough and metal colored. Invisalign makes braces that slip over your teeth smoother than Cinderella’s glass slippers, and even clearer.
The basic idea is that a thin clear plastic coating can be formed to cover your teeth is such a way as to gently push them straighter. If you wear a whole series of these clear plastic coatings (trays) in a particular order, then your teeth get progressively straighter until you are happy with them.
Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD)
Many people remember with horror having to wear headgear as children. Now there is an alternative to headgear: a Temporary Anchorage Device or TAD. These TAD are modified dental implants that are designed to be removable.
Made out of titanium, they permit movement of teeth in ways that were previously extremely difficult or impossible without surgery. TAD can help correct deep bites, open bites, protrusive incisors, and molars that have erupted abnormally.
