Braces
Why have braces?
Crooked, crowded, spaced teeth or bad bites are the most common reasons for braces (orthodontic appliances).
Brushing and flossing is easier with straight teeth and many dental problems such as biting into the roof of your mouth or recession of the gingiva (gums) can be corrected with braces.
Also important is preventing abnormal wear of teeth resulting from a bad bite. Still, most people want straight teeth because they just look much better and give them a more confident smile.
